I hate this. If we are honest with ourselves, aren't we all in the same mindset? But swiching our mindset gives us opportunity to accelerate down the pathway of our journey.
A group of men have joined together to explore this area in life - in our own lives. We'll explore together what it is we are facing, and where we want to end up. Journeying together is a blast. Men don't always recognize this powerful dynamic in life, but we're having a good time.
C.S. Lewis by far is one of my favorite writers. He is able to take complex thoughts and make them very useable. And the comment above does exactly that. He took a subject that caused tremendous turmoil in my life, adversity, and gave the opportunity to look at it head on. Well, I did just that and looked at what is holding me back in my journey through life. And the PAIN of looking at myself in the mirror is no pleasant task. I hate what I see there sometimes. But I am pleased that once the shock of the true me is open and one of my masks is removed, I am given the choice of given it to God or keeping it all to myself. That's the crisis of faith I am faced with daily. Will I go my way which has proven to provide momentary pleasure and be the wrong way over and over. Or choose God's way and have pain, but eventually find the answer. I deal with this battle everyday.
